Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about our cargo and passenger services to plan your experience.

Passenger Service

How long is the train ride?
The tourist journey between Panama (Pacific) and Colon (Atlantic) stations takes approximately one hour. It is a direct trip that allows you to enjoy the most impressive views of the Canal and the jungle.
Can I buy tickets on the same day?
Yes, ticket sales take place only at the stations on the same day of travel, before departure, and are subject to availability. We recommend arriving early, especially during peak season.
Does the train operate every day?
Our regular service operates Monday through Friday. For weekends or special holidays, please check our official announcements in the news section or social media, as schedules may vary.
Can I bring luggage?
Yes, we have designated areas for carry-on luggage and light suitcases. If you are traveling with bulky luggage or pets, please contact us in advance to coordinate the necessary facilities.

Freight Service

What is the maximum cargo capacity?
Our railway is designed to handle up to 2 million TEUs annually. We operate with double-stack trains, maximizing efficiency and speed in container transshipment between oceans.
How do I coordinate a cargo shipment?
To coordinate cargo movements, you must contact our commercial operations department directly or do so through your trusted shipping line, who manage spaces on our intermodal trains.
Do you transport loose cargo or special projects?
Although we specialize in containers, we have the capacity to handle special projects, rolling cargo, and, under specific contract, bulk cargo. Contact us to evaluate the logistical viability of your project.
